Sand Sun Fun

Hello again sorry I have not posted in awhile I was on vacation for my twins 6th birthday. Today I am posting a great layout for summer time beach photos. I used a few different files and they all came from Designs on Cloud 9. Forgive me for how many photos I am about to post but there are a lot great parts to this layout.
This is the full page few of the page. I used Beach Background as the background for these pages, I mirrored the file so they would match up with each other.  The title is my own design. I used the little girl and boy from Kids Beach Set 1 also the umbrella is from that file. Last is the surf boards on the side and on the sand castle are from Beach Kids Set 3. Again all of these files can be found at Designs on Cloud 9.
This is a view of the first page with the boy and sand castle the photo mat will fit a 4x6 photo and also when you untie the ribbon it opens to fit another 2 4x6 photos.
This is the view of the second page This page will fit a 4x4 and like the first it will open to fit 2 more photos. The surf boards are skickled and pop-dotted.
This is a view of my title. I made this myself with my machine I am really happy with this title. I am getting better at making them myself. The little shell is pop-dotted off.
Here is a close up of the little girl. I used lots of stickles in the ball and her bathing suit. Her shoes had glitter 3-D paint but it dried clear so you cant see it now :/.
Here is another close up of just the girl and ball. I am still learning eye lashes so they are not perfect but who had perfect eyelashes.
This is a close up of the boy and sand castle. I pop-dotted the front of the castle and I drew in the windows with the Close to My Heart Desert Sand ink pen. I also used the surf boards and shrunk them down and added them to the castle. There is also clear sparkle puff paint on the surf board and the umbrella.
Add this is just a shot to show some of the 3-D on the page.

4th of July 2 page layout

I am trying to stay ahead of the game this year and so today I have for you a great 2 page layout for the 4th of July. I used a few different patterns for this layout but they all came from Designs on Cloud 9.
So this is the full page view. For this file I used All American Kids and the Patriotic Accents for this layout. The All American Kids has more little kids and a few different things but I just wanted the two kids with the flag and rocket. With this layout I did not add much pop-dotting because it was just a simple layout. I used just basic dark blue paper, white and red and then for the red star paper I got that from Hobby Lobby a long time ago.

This is the first page. I pop-dotted the stars off the page and added some Blue Pearl Pen dots to each star. There is also room here for a 4x6 photo. I decided to not add ribbon because I did not want to over due the page.
So here is the second page again i pop-dotted the stars and used the Pearl Pen. I also added Ice White and red Pearl Pen and Gold Stickles to make it look like fire works.(I think it is cute even though it is not what i thought it would look like in my head). On this page there is room for a 4x6 a 4x4 and (2) 3x3 photos.
This is a close up of the little girl. She is pop-dotted off the page. It is hard to see in the photo but she has Gold Stickles on her shoes and bows as well as Red Stickles on the star in her hair and the red strip on her dress as well. I also used red Stickles on the rocket and blue puff pain.
This is the little boy. He is very simple but so cute.
Last is the view of the title. So for the title I used my fonts to make the 4th of July and then I enlarged the rocket the little girl had and added it behind. I then pop-dotted it and added red Stickles, blue puff paint and glitter puff paint that is red, white, blue, and gold.

I hope that you have enjoyed this layout as much as I have in making it. If you are interested in buying this contact me at dlbarney@liberty.edu or on my Facebook fan page.

2 Page Layout- Arrrr!

Hello guys I have another layout that I created as my project for the week at Designs on Cloud 9. This is a cute boy layout but it can be used for a girl just as easy. All the files I used for this layout are from Designs on Cloud 9. The file used was from Pirates file. This file is free in the month of June when you spend 6.99 or more. This is such a great deal.
This is the view of both pages. I used Just basic blue paper for the back ground, the wave paper, sand paper, and paper on the photo mats all came from Hobby Lobby I have had this paper for a very long time but I am sure they still have it there lol.
This is the first page it has a spot for a 4x6 photo. I decided not to add ribbon because this layout has a lot going on and I did not want to over due it. I used pop-dots on the may and part of the scope. I used a wave border punch on the water paper and I slipped the boat between two layers of paper to give it the look of being in the water. I also added some islands. I also had some cheap beach stickers that I got at hobby lobby awhile ago so I added the green and brown looking shells to the sand paper.
This is the second page for this page I was able to get four 4x4 photo mats on the page. I pop-dotted the hook (sorry it came out blurry for some reason) I also pop-dotted the eye patch, I used the same wave border and island as the first page. Now I cut a little seam and slipped the treasure box into it so that it looks like it is in the sand and then I just added the wheel and hat to the other side. The skull on the hat is pop-dotted off.
This is a close up of the title. For the title I pop-dotted both the hook and the !. You can not see in in the photo that well but I added some black glossy puff paint to the hook to make it look shinny.
This is just a different angle of the ships mast with the skull and cross bones. I really love this ship. I was so easy to put together and just looks great.
This is a close up of the map. I pop-dotted the while part of the map off to give it a 3-D look.
A full view of the ship. As you can see it covers the photo just a bit but you can still slip the picture under with no problems.
Treasure chest close up. I used some gold paper from my local scrapbook store for all the gold inside and at the bottom.
Last picture is just the hat and wheel. The skull and gold part of the wheel have been pop-dotted off.

I really enjoyed putting this together. I hope you have enjoyed looking and remember that this is for sale just email me dlbarney@liberty.edu or message me on my fan page if you are interested.

2 Page Layout Just Plane Cute

Today I have another great layout for you. This layout is for a customer and was inspired by the cutest newborn pictures of her grandson in a flight suit. I love this file because again it can be used for many different pictures and can even be used for a girl with just a few tweeks to the papers. All designs on this layout come form Designs on Cloud 9. The file that I used was Plane Cute. I did adjust the size on the file and made it a little larger.
So this is a view of the full page layout. I used basic blue paper for the background and some cute green pokadot paper for the grass and the paper used on the photo mats comes from my local scrapbook store, but I think the paper can also be found in a paper stack just not sure what one it is in.

This is page one. For this page I used a grass punch and cut the grass for the first layer and added it to the page I then added the plane and then did another layer of grass that was pop-dotted off for 3-D effect. One the plane I pop-dotted the star on the wing as well as added skickes to it and the propeller to. The clouds have also been stickled.

Here is a close up on the title. The word Plane is pop-dotted. I also added Ice White Pearl Pens to the title for the dots. Side note about Pearl Pens you can get them at your local scrapbook store in many different colors. They are super easy to use and add great details to your pages. I find that while they are 5 dollars for a bottle they are cheaper in the long run if you use a lot of pearls. I really love them and they are also somewhat fast to dry.

This is the second page. Again on this page I pop dotted the star and used stickles. I also used the same technique for the grass paper. there is room on this page for a 4x6 and 2 4x4 photos.
Last picture for this layout is a close up of the pilot. I love how he turned out, I added some lashes(mind you i am not that good at it) and also added some tails to the scarf.

I hope you have enjoyed looking and please follow my page for even more layouts and projects. Again if you are interested in buying this page just shoot me a message at dlbarney@liberty.edu or you can reach me on my fanpage. Thanks again.

2 Page layout Cute as a Bug

So I am hot at working making things for a customer and I loved this file from Designs on Cloud 9. It is the Cute Bug collection. I think this is perfect for those everyday baby pictures. This is the boy version I have done and I will be doing a girl version as well.
First off I am sorry that these pictures are not better. The sun is crazy here but this is a view of the full layout. For this I used A LOT of pop-dots. All the blue paper is glitter paper that I picked up at my local Joann's and then there is some just basic white paper. For the sides of the paper I used the Short Border 2 file and just in enlarged the border to fit the 12x12 paper. I have to say this file is one of my very favorite files it is versatile and can be used for so many things I have to say this is a must have file for anyone.
So this is a view of page one I added two 4x6 photo mats and used a cuttlebug embossing folder to get the texture on the mats. I then distressed them with a little bit of Yellow Citrus Cat's Eye Inks. And finished them off with some very simple blue ribbon.
This is the second page again the little Caterpillar is pop-dotted off the page same with the top part of the beetle and lady bug. It is hard to see in this photo but the bee has some Stickles on the wing and antennas.
Here is a close up of the title. It was made with a Font that I have on my computer I forgot where I got it from though. I also cut the little bugs with the font file as well. The title was also pop-dotted off to give some added dimension to the page.
Here is a close up of the little caterpillar. I think he is my favorite in this file.
Here is a little bit closer photo of the bee to show the glitter a little bit better.

Thank you all for your time and I hope you have enjoyed. Please if you are interested in buying this layout email me at dlbarney@liberty.edu or like my Facebook Fan Page and send me a message there. I will have this on Ebay soon as well.
